Privacy policy

Last updated 1 October 2026. We hold very little about you, and this page says what, why and for how long.

1. Data controller

Octomark is responsible for the personal data this site handles.

You can reach us about your data at info@octomark.co.uk, or through our contact page.

2. Our principles

We collect as little as we can and keep it for as short a time as we can.

This site is for adults aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. What data we collect and on what basis

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to answer you. The basis is our legitimate interest in replying to messages sent to us.

Our server writes one access log line per request. It records the visitor's IP address, the date and time, the requested page, the response status and size, the referring page and the browser's user agent string.

We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, which is our legitimate interest. They are not used for analytics or advertising.

The site runs no analytics, sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. Our cookie policy gives the detail.

A browser check of every page on 1 October 2026 found no requests to any other host. The fonts are served from the site's own server, not from Google Fonts.

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, runs the server the site sits on. We share the logs with no one else.

If a court or public authority lawfully requires it, we may have to hand over data we hold. We would give only what the request covers.

When you visit a casino's own website, that casino handles your data under its own privacy policy, not this one. Read its policy before you open an account there.

5. Transfers outside the UK

Our server sits in Germany, so the data in our server logs is held there rather than in the UK. Email info@octomark.co.uk if you want to know what we hold about you.

6. Retention and data security

Server logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 rotations, which is about 14 days.

Emails you send us are kept only as long as we need them to answer you and deal with any follow-up, then deleted.

We protect what we hold by keeping it small and short-lived, and by never copying server logs anywhere else.

7. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong.

You can ask us to delete your data, to limit how we use it, or to stop using it, and you can ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere.

To use any of these rights, email us, say which right you want to use and which data it concerns. For a server log, the date, the time and your IP address help us find the line.

8. Right to complain

The Information Commission's Office (ICO) takes complaints about how an organisation has used your personal information.

The ICO says: "In most cases, we recommend that you raise your concern with the organisation first and give them a chance to put things right." It adds: "If you’re unhappy with the organisation’s response, you can then complain to the ICO."

So write to us first. If our answer does not settle it, call the ICO on 0303 123 1113 or use the complaint form on its website.

9. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. Check this page from time to time if you want to follow changes, and read our terms of use for the rules of the site itself.
