Responsible gambling for UK players
Help first: the lines you can call are at the top of this page, then the limits and blocks you can set, then what a self-exclusion covers when one company runs several casinos. This page carries no offers, no ratings and no casino links.
Free help for UK players
If gambling is harming you or someone close to you, call a help line today. The National Gambling Helpline takes calls on 0808 8020 133 and serves England and Scotland. The NHS Wales Helpline takes calls on 0808 2819 265 and serves Wales.
Both numbers come from GambleAware's help page, read on 30 September 2026, which states that "These support services are available only to Great Britain residents." We could not confirm a published help line for Northern Ireland, so this page names none. Start with GambleAware's information pages if the two lines above do not cover where you live.
Keep it in proportion
Set your limits before you play, not while you are playing. The casinos covered here state tools for that in their own help pages. MrQ lists a "Deposit Limit", a "Net Deposit Limit" and a "Time-Out". Mr Vegas lists a "Wager limit", a "Loss limit" and a "Max bet limit". 32Red lists a "Reality check", a "Loss limit" and a "Product block", and Dream Jackpot lists "Deposit Limits", "Session Limits" and a "Cooling-off". Spin Genie states a "Freeze/Cooling-Off", and PlayOJO states "cooling-off periods" with a "game status reminder".
A tool is only as strong as the number you put in it. Set the limit at the amount you would be content to lose, and set it on the day you open an account rather than after a losing run. If a casino's own limit page does not match what you read here, the casino's page is the one that binds you, so follow it and then contact Octomark so this page gets corrected.
We read each casino's own safer gambling pages for these tools, and our team tests the casinos and checks every fact before a page is published. How we find sister sites sets out those steps.
Sister sites and self-exclusion
A sister site is never a way around a self-exclusion. Shut one account and open another under the same roof, and you are gambling again whatever name sits over the door. The wide block is the national one: Gamstop Online is the way to block every site licensed in Great Britain at once. A scheme run by a single business reaches less far, since each business keeps "their own self-exclusion arrangements" for the brands it holds, so ask the casino how far its own block goes.
Some of the casinos here write their exclusion wide. 32Red's help centre carries it to "all UK brands operated by FDJ UNITED", and names Unibet and Bingo.com. PlayOJO says the period follows you to accounts that "share the same license". Spin Genie limits "any other known account" you hold on its licence. 888casino widens a new request to "all 888/WH group brands", 777.com and William Hill included. Check the wording on the casino's own page before you count on it: that page, not this one, is what the company works to.
Other wording stops at the brand in front of you, and that gap costs you, because the rest of the family stays open unless you act. MrQ covers your account there and "any future websites operated by us", so nothing beyond that company is shut. Mr Vegas holds the account so it "cannot be re-opened under any circumstance" for the period, then only "recommends" the same step at other operators, which leaves the work with you: set it yourself at every casino you have used. Dream Jackpot allows "only one Account per brand", and the pages read for this site say nothing about how far an exclusion there travels, so treat it as that brand alone until the casino tells you otherwise.
Adults only
Gambling is for adults only: the minimum age is 18, and the Gambling Commission states that "In most cases, the minimum legal age for gambling in Great Britain is 18." MrQ states 18 in its verification pages and 888casino states 18 on its responsible gaming page. Keep your account details and your payment cards away from anyone younger.
On a device other people use, no single step is enough, so use several together. Give every person their own login, with a password only that person knows. Turn on the device's own content controls, set them to refuse gambling sites, and set the same restriction in each browser and on the home router. Remove saved cards, saved passwords and stored payment apps from any login that is not yours alone. No blocking product is named here, because this page has no checked source on how well any of them work.
One of the casinos covered here, 888casino, states "Parental Controls" among its own tools. If a child or a self-excluded adult shares your device, ask the casino's support team what it offers and set the device controls as well, rather than leaning on either one alone.
