Terms of use

Last updated 2 October 2026. These terms say what Octomark is and what it is not: an information site for UK players, never a casino. They also set out what the figures on our pages mean and what we take responsibility for.

1. Nature and purpose of the content

Octomark is an information site, not a gambling operator. It publishes research on which casinos licensed for Great Britain share an owner or a licence, and what that means for you as a player. We do not take bets, hold your money, run games or open accounts, and nothing here is an offer to gamble.

Reading a page here is not advice to join a casino. Decide for yourself whether to open an account, and read the offer conditions on the casino's own site before you put money in.

2. Age limit and regional suitability

This site is for adults of 18 or over. The Gambling Commission states the limit plainly: "In most cases, the minimum legal age for gambling in Great Britain is 18." If you are under 18, leave this site and do not use the casinos it covers.

Octomark is written for UK players, and the casinos it covers hold a licence for Great Britain. Gambling law is not the same everywhere, so check the rules that apply where you are before you use any site we write about. A site that is licensed for players here may be closed to players elsewhere.

3. Accuracy of information

Every figure on a casino page is that casino's own term on the date printed on the page, not a promise from us. Our team tests the casinos and checks every fact before a page is published. Terms still change without notice, so ask the casino to confirm a figure in writing when your account shows something different.

Ownership and licence facts come from the Gambling Commission public register, which our research reads and quotes, alongside each casino's own pages. Where a casino's pages and the register do not agree, the page says so. Where we could not confirm something, it says that too, in plain words.

4. Intellectual property

The words, ratings, tables and research on this site are ours, and the Octomark name and look belong to Octomark. You may quote a short passage with a plain credit and a link to the page it came from. Copying a page, a table or a set of reviews wholesale is not allowed.

Casino names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners, and appear here only to identify the casino under discussion. Words quoted from a casino's terms or from the licence register stay the property of whoever published them.

5. Acceptable use

Read the site, share it and quote it within the limits above. Do not collect its pages with automated tools, republish them, remove the credit, pass our research off as someone else's work, or interfere with the site or the server it runs on.

Do not use anything on this site to break the law of the country you are in. If you want to use our research or our figures in your own work, write to us first through the contact page and say what you need.

No link on this site pays us today. There are no affiliate links on any page at the moment, so nothing you click here earns Octomark a commission.

If that changes, a short affiliate label in the footer and our affiliate disclosure page will say so. A commission would not move a rating or a position here: bad findings move ratings, and commercial deals never fix a position.

Links to other sites, casinos, regulators and help services among them, are there so you can check what we say. We do not control those pages, and they can change after we read them.

7. Limitation of liability

Octomark gives you information, and the risk of what you do with it stays yours. You can lose the money you stake at a casino, and we accept no liability for that loss, for a casino's decision about your account, or for a term the casino changed after the date on our page. Keep your own copy of the terms you agreed to, and put a problem to the casino first through its own complaints process.

We do not promise the site will always be available or free of mistakes. Nothing in these terms removes a liability that cannot be removed by law. If you find something wrong on a page, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it or take it down.

8. Responsible gambling

Gambling can cause harm, and help is free to use. If it is becoming a problem, stop playing and use the help services listed on our responsible gambling page, which also sets out the deposit limits and self-exclusion tools each casino states.

Register with Gamstop to block every site licensed in Great Britain at once; a casino's own self-exclusion covers one business. A sister site is never a way around a self-exclusion, and no page on this site presents one as such.

9. Applicable law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We change these terms when the site changes. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the line at the top shows when we last updated it. Where a change affects what you can do here, we will say on this page what changed.
